Wiffle Ball | return
Wiffle ball was incorporated into the game sometime in the 1990s, and it was one of the most popular sports. During this time, most games were regulated to 5 or 7 innings. In the City era, the R.O.K. Bombers were the most successful team, followed closely by the Woodland Warriors. Players that would later form the Kelm Cool Guys and the Avengerdonia Turtle Wings would play 3 matches against each other. The 1st 2 in 2021 in what would become Nidraw and the 3rd in 2022 in what would become Tree Opolis. The 2nd match was the only match won by the players that would go on to form the Verdenia Turtle Wings in any sport during this period. Originally during the City era, all sizes of wiffle bats were allowed, but eventually older kids were restricted from using the thick wiffle bats. This was mostly as a respone to Marvin Zuave of the Woodland Warriors leading the league in home runs as a result of using a thick bat. After the City era, this rule was forgotten until October 2024 when players 13 and older had to use skinny bats. However, starting in October 2023, older kids and adults had to switch hit or be out with 2 strikes (including fouls) when facing a pitcher younger than 13. Kids younger than 13 also had to be pitched lobs. Starting on 17OCT24, batters aging 10 through 15 facing pitchers under 10 and batters aging 16 through 49 facing pitchers ages 10 through 15 are only allowed 2 strikes (including fouls). Batters aging 16 through 49 facing pitchers ages 10 and under must switch hit and be allowed only 2 strikes (including fouls). Pitchers aging 10 through 49 facing batters under 10 and pitchers aging 16 through 49 facing batters ages 10 through 15 must pitch with their weak hand. Starting on 22OCT24, pitchers aging 16 through 49 facing batters under 10 will also walk them with 2 balls and pitchers aging 10 through 15 facing batters 10 and under or pitchers aging 16 through 49 facing batters ages 10 through 15 will walk them with 3 balls. Ages 50 and up have the same rules as those between 10 and 15. Age rules don't apply if everyone is near the same age range.
