Soccer was incorporated into the game in the 1990s but was seldomly played, and all match results from the time have been lost. Soccer became very popular during the later half of the Intergame Era and is now the most played sport. There are no standardized sizes for balls and goals, but smaller ones are generally used. Penalty or free kicks are awarded in place of yellow and red cards as the card system is not used. There is a heavy emphasis on awarding penalty kicks rather than free kicks for moderate to severe penalties, regardless of where the foul was committed, with severe infractions often resulting in the offending player sitting out until a goal is scored.
Intergame Era
The MFL was a league that existed from 2012-2014 that featured 1v1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 matches. There were also several 4v4 and 5v5 scrimmages played during this time. The Elo ratings come from this period. In the late Intergame Era, from about 2021 to 2023, several soccer matches were played between the future Avengerdonia Turtle Wings and Kelm Cool Guys, which were all won by the Cool Guys.
