Football was incorporated into the game in the 1990s and was one of the major sports played. The R.O.K. Bombers generally dominated the sport. Football was played on different-sized fields with different-sized footballs. Field goals and extra-point kicks involved punting the ball past the end zone without going out of bounds. Eventually, conversions replaced extra-points, but kicking the ball instead of running it into the end zone resulted in 2 points.
During the City era, local star athlete Manfred Manheim planned on joining the game just to play football for the Woodland Warriors. The problem was that he was so good that he completely dominated the games. In response, the R.O.K. Bombers began playing violently in an attempt to remain competitive. This made the star athlete quit within a week in order to avoid potential serious injuries to fellow players. In the first game he played at Soldier Field, the hardest hit of the sport ever occurred. The star, who was extremely muscular, was running down the field at full speed with only 1 defender left to stop him. The player was Kent Luxtari of the R.O.K. Bombers, who was of decent size, though a couple years younger. The star and Kent both put their shoulders down for the impending contact, and what came next was the loudest collision ever heard at Soldier Field. The impact was so strong that other players claimed there was a flash of gray and that the ground shook. This attempted tackle made the star wobble and barely stay in bounds, but he managed to stay on his feet and stumble into the end zone. Remarkably, Kent was still standing after this hit, which highly impressed everyone, including Manfred. Manfred's final game was in the territory of Greenland, where Scottie Smith of the R.O.K. Bombers became so aggressive that he made Marvin Zuave of the Woodland Warriors cry several times. All games in the series with the Manfred were blowouts in favour of the Woodland Warriors.
From 1997 through 1999, several scrimmage matches were played. In 2021 and 2022 the players that would later form the Kelm Cool Guys and Avengerdonia Turtle wings played a couple games in what would later become Nidraw, both convincingly won by the future Kelm Cool Guys.
As of 06NOV24, players 4 through 9 receive double points when scoring, players 10 through 15 or 50 and up receive the regular amount of points when scoring, and player 16 through 49 receive half points when scoring. If all players are in the same age range, normal scoring is used.
