Tierra del Hielo is the name given to the land that had an ephemeral pool that was located behind Soldier Field and next to High Hills. It was given its name because it was prone to flooding and would often freeze over during the cold months. This allowed the kids to use it as a small ice rink. Outside of this, the area had no other purpose other than being a gateway to Greenland. It was probably under control of the Republic of Kelm for its entire existence. It is probable that it came under jurisdiction of the same city that Soldier Field was in.
