Mystic Grove is a fictional municipality based on a real location discovered by Scottie Smith during the Great Woodland War circa 1993. During a battle on a hot summer day, either on the way to or coming from the city of Woodland, Scottie Smith went into the outer Woodland hedgerow to rest. Inside he found a small area with no underbrush where he sat down. The temperature of the air and ground was cool, contrasting the climate outside. There was also a tiny microrill or thin puddle surrounded by moist soil and mossy grass. He described the area as incredibly serene and did not want to leave. The area was never found again despite several searches in that and the following summer.
