The Kelm x was the official currency of the Republic of Kelm. Its design was based on play money that Scottie Smith created in 1988. It was drawn using crayon, had a green background with a face of Chief Scottie in the middle, and often used Roman numerals to display its denomination. The Kelm x was the most powerful currency during its lifespan, though it suffered bouts of high inflation several times due to loans provided by A.J.'s Bank. It was the only currency to be heavily inflated through debt rather than overprinting during the City era. In Neighborhood Conflict Sequel the Kelm x is represent by the Kelm mark.
