Boboron Franc | return

The Boboron franc was the official currency of Boboron. The Boboron franc was the first currency in the game that was created using a printer. It was printed on white paper with black ink. The currency was highly favoured for its modern look relative to other currencies. The president of Boboron used an old computer and printer that he acquired at a rummage sale to print the bills. The Boboron franc usually had a very high value, and only low denominations were in circulation. This changed after the Woodland Boboron War, when Boboron was forced to pay reparations, even though it was Woodland that started the war. Woodland forced Boboron to pay huge sums to them in Boboron francs. President Kent was up all night printing to pay the reparations. To add to the humiliation, Woodland forced Boboron to print several bills of extremely high denominations for them. Many bills were between 10,000 to 100,000 Boboron francs. This greatly reduced the buying power Boboron had until its dissolution in 1995 or 1996 and destroyed the value of any existing bills, as their denominations usually ranged from 1 to 50. However, President Kent was eventually able to deflate the currency's value to reasonable levels. Denominations of around 1,000 were common for quite some time, but eventually 100 franc bills became the most common.
