Sometime during the Great Woodland War, the R.O.K. Army attempted to seize Berry City by invading from the cornfield. It is not remembered why they invaded and if they originally attempted to deliver an ultimatum to Woodland that fell through. What is known is that there was a dispute between Chief Scottie and Marvin Zuave that led to a physical attack. At first, Kelm was pounding the forces of Marvin quite easily. His brother Kalvin Zuave was enraged upon seeing this and rallied a successful counterattack that routed the Kelm troops. Witnesses recall Kalvin angrily picking up dirt from the cornfield and relentlessly chasing and throwing it at Chief Scottie, at which point Scottie decided to make a strategic retreat back to Jonesland.
