Battle of Cana and Kelm | return

Sometime during the Great Woodland War, Cana, Austin, Ducktown, and possibly other city-states briefly united in fighting a successful battle against the Republic of Kelm. It is unknown why Cana and their allies fought Kelm, as the countries generally had positive relations. It is also unknown if Cana was also allied with Woodland during the battle or if they fought against Kelm because of a separate issue. Cana and their allies were exclusively composed of younger participants. Cana and its allies captured the much older Kelm soldier, Reginald Goldstein, while he was on a reconnaissance mission. During captivity he was beaten with branches and stoned with small rocks. When he was finally let go hours later, he stated that those little kids were brutal. The threat of this alliance forced Scottie Smith, the Chief of the Republic of Kelm, to sue for peace so that Kelm's forces could be concentrated against Woodland's army. The terms of the armistice are not remembered.
