note: Duke may refer to multiple topics.
Duke was the probable final name of the city that encompassed Soldier Field and the ephemeral pool. There is a possibility that it was actually 2 different cities with unknown names. It was probably originally known as Kelm or Rome and probably used both names at different points. Duke belonged to the Republic of Kelm for most of its existence. However, it was probably very briefly occupied by other powers a few times during wars. It is most notable for being the sporting centre of the world during the City Era. In the summertime, there was usually a tan tent pitched by a large tree. In the early years, there was also a green wooden picnic table under the tree that was later replaced with a larger gray picnic table. This was the only area of the city that received any significant economic activity. Other than that, it mostly only witnessed commercial, political, and military traffic.
